Social Program

In addition to the conference program, we are offering participants the option to join a wide range of social events before or after the conference. By following the respective links you can check details (prices, times, etc.) for each event and register on your own. For each event, you will find information about the meeting point. EACR volunteers will accompany you to the meeting point, where the event will start. Alternatively, you can show up at the meeting point on your own and meet others directly there. Please note that all social events are not an official part of the conference. Participation in the social events is at participants’ own costs and responsibility. The conference fees do not cover participation in these events.

Next to these social activities, Amsterdam has many nice museums, restaurants and shops to check out. Please find our list with hotspots in Amsterdam here. We highly recommend making reservations before visiting (especially museums!)

After admiring Vincent van Gogh’s masterpieces in the museum’s permanent exhibition and temporary exhibition Van Gogh in Auvers. We gather at 15:15 in the Atrium (in the glass entrance area) on the right hand side of the escalator, in front of the stairs (for those that visit the museum). In case you only want to join for the presentation, we meet at 15.15hrs at the services entrance located at Sandbergplein, between the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam and the Van Gogh Museum visitors entrance

Amsterdam Canal Tour

Amsterdam Microbrewery Tour

This tour offers an opportunity to explore some of Amsterdam’s finest breweries and pubs, each reflecting the city’s unique blend of tradition and innovation in brewing.

Recognizing that each beer enthusiast has unique tastes and a preferred pace, we’ve designed this tour for EACR participants to walk themselves. Trip to traditional Dutch windmills
(Zaanse Schans)
