Directions to the Venues during EACR 2023
On this page you find all the directions from the conference location to the social locations, opening reception and closing party. Of course our volunteers are happy to show you the way!
Going to Hotel Casa from Schiphol Airport will take approximately 25 minutes. Follow the steps below for the fastest route (Google maps link).
- Take any train from Schiphol Airport to Amsterdam Zuid. Many trains that depart from Schiphol Airport stop at Amsterdam Zuid. This will take approximately 6 minutes.
- At Amsterdam Zuid take subway 51 with direction Centraal Station. Exit the subway at station Amsterdam Amstel. This will take approximately 9 minutes.
- Walk from station Amstel to Hotel Casa. This will take approximately 7 minutes (See the picture and link below)
Going to Café Restaurant De Kroon from Hotel Casa will take approximately 20-25 minutes. Follow the steps below for the fastest route (Google maps link)
- Walk from Hotel Casa to the subway station Amstel, this will take approximately 7 minutes. (See the picture and link below)
2. At station Amstel, take the subway line 51, 53 or 54 with direction Centraal Station.
3. Take the subway to Waterlooplein, which will take approximately 5 minutes, and exit the subway
4. Exit the station via the exit that says Waterlooplein
5. Walk from Waterlooplein to Café Restaurant De Kroon, this will take approximately 5 minutes (See the picture and link below)
Going to the Van Gogh Museum from Hotel Casa will take approximately 25-30 minutes. Follow the steps below for the fastest route (Google maps link)
1. Walk from Hotel Casa to the tram stop Amstelstation. This will take approximately 7 mintues. (See the picture and link below)
2. Take tram 12 with direction Centraal Station and exit the tram at the stop Concertgebouw. This will take approximately 15 minutes.
3. Walk from the tram stop to the Van Gogh Museum. This will take approximately 3 minutes. (See picture and link: Google maps link)
Going to Café Restaurant De Kroon from the Van Gogh Museum will take approximately 20-25 minutes. Follow the steps below for the fastest route (Google maps link).
1. Walk from the Van Gogh Museum to tram stop Concertgebouw. This will take approximately 3 minutes. (See pictures and link below)
2. Take tram 12 with direction Centraal Station and exit the tram at the stop Koningsplein. This will take approximately 10 minutes.
3. Walk from the tram stop Koningsplein to Café Restaurant de Kroon. This will take approximately 8 minutes. (See pictures and link Google maps link)
Going to We Bike Amsterdam from Hotel Casa will take approximately 25-30 minutes. Follow the steps below for the fastest route (Google maps link)
1. Walk from Hotel Casa to the subway station Amstel, this will take approximately 7 minutes. (See the picture and link below)
2. At station Amstel, take the subway line 51, 53 or 54 with direction Centraal Station.
3. Take the subway to Centraal Station, which will take approximately 10 minutes, and exit the subway
4. Exit the station via the exit that says Stationsplein or
5. Walk from Centraal Station to We Bike Amsterdam. This will take approximately 7 minutes. (See the picture and link: Google maps link)
After the bike tour and returning the bikes to “We Bike Amsterdam”, you can follow the following route to reach the opening reception at De Kroon.
Here is the overview of the route (link to google maps); you will get there by walking around 18 minutes. You can also combine public transportation, which takes around 13 minutes.
2. Take tram number 4 or number 14 at at the Dam station to station Rembrandtplein station, this will take approximately 4 minutes
3. Now, you will find Café Restaurant De Kroon opposite your station (Rembrantplein).
You can walk from Hotel Casa to Weesperzijde 135 ( the Embarkation for the Canel Tour), around 600 meters and 7 minutes walk. Here is the link (google maps).
In the end of your canal trip, you will get off at Spuistraat 294 – 302. There are several routes you can go back to Hotel Casa. Here is the overview of the routes, and link (google maps).
1. Walk about 2 minutes 200 meters from Spuistraat 294 to station Koningsplein and take Tram 12 (to Amstelstation).
2. There are 12 stops until you arrive at the station Amstelstation. It takes around 24 minutes.
3. Walk from station Amstel to Hotel Casa. This will take approximately 7 minutes (See the picture and link: Google maps link)
To travel from the hotel to the closing event (and back), we offer a few busses for you to take:
Pick up: 18.00 at Hotel Casa Amsterdam
Drop off: 18.30 at Westerpark bus stop Van Hallstraat (7 minutes walk to the venue Bar Kantoor, see the map below for walking directions)
On the way back, we offer busses again at 3 different times:
Pick up: At 3 different times (22.00, 00.00, 01.15) at Westerpark bus stop Van Hallstraat
Drop off: Hotel Casa Amsterdam

There are several routes to Restaurant Bar Kantoor Westerpark. Here is the link (google maps).
1. Walk from Hotel Casa to the subway station Amstel, this will take approximately 7 minutes. (See the picture and link below).
2. Take metro line 51, 53 or 54 to Centraal Station. It takes around 8 minutes to get there.
3. Get off at Centraal Station. Walk to the backside of the station to get bus number 22 (Sloterdijk direction). It takes around 4 minutes by walking.
4. Take bus number 22 to Amsterdam Nassauplein It takes around 5 minutes.
5. You can walk from Nassauplein to Restaurant Bar Kantoor Westerpark, taking about 7 minutes around 600 meters.

1. You can walk from Restaurant Bar Kantoor Westerpark to Nassauplein station, taking about 7 minutes, around 600 meters.
2. Take bus number 22 to the Amsterdam Centraal Station.
3. Walk to metro station to take metro line 51, 53 or 54 to Amstel.
4. Walk back to Hotel Casa from Amstel around 7 minutes.
