Hotspots in Amsterdam

We are very excited to welcome you to Amsterdam, our beloved city known for its artistic heritage, elaborate canal system and narrow houses with gabled facades. July is a perfect time to take a stroll at dusk or dawn and enjoy how beautiful lights wash over its waters. As we welcome you, we would like to share some of our favorite spots in Amsterdam. This list, by no means, is an all encompassing one, as we would still like to see you at EACR 2023! It is meant to give you some ways to avoid choice overload while still getting curious to explore our home.

Two quick notes:

  • In most of our recommendations, we focused on places in the East of Amsterdam, so that they are easily reachable from the conference. We made exceptions for some particularly good options but again, there is much more to explore.
  • Making a reservation is the name of the game here. Whenever you can, make a reservation ahead of time!
